Other Considerations
For safety and the best experience, guests should wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable loose fitting attire, including a long sleeve shirt and full length pants. Guests will be provided with a fully protective bee suit, hat, vail and gloves to wear over their clothing. Guests should avoid wearing strong perfumes, colognes or fragrances during the Honey Bee Experience. Before entering the apiary, the beekeeper will make sure your bee suit is secure. We will make every effort to keep the participants safe, so it is important to follow the beekeepers instructions.
While inside the apiary, guests should avoid standing in front of the hive entrance, making sudden movements or swatting at the bees. If a guest becomes uncomfortable, for any reason, during the experience, it is important that you remain calm and ask the beekeeper for assistance.
This experience is NOT recommended for guests with bee or honey allergies. This experience is designed for guests age 12 and older.
NOTE: There are no restroom facilities at the apiary.
