BEE HARMONY HAVEN

Bee Harmony Haven is located at 18970 Wagon Wheel Way in Magnolia, TX 77355. This location is located directly off of Nichols Sawmill Road south of the city of Magnolia. This property was purchased in July, 2021 – specifically for our honey bees. Since the purchase, we have been working to clear the land and make it ready for the bees which were moved there in December, 2021.

As stated in our mission statement we are dedicated to the preservation on honey bees and providing a safe location for them. To support this effort, we have established a pollinator garden next to the hives to provide the bees with plants and vegetables that are pesticide free and provide the bees necessary pollen and nectar.

Another part of our mission statement mentions that we attempt to provide information to the public about honey bees and the problems they are facing. Although most of our education opportunities are provide by talking to adult groups, such as garden clubs, we have also been working to provide these opportunities at the property.

We host small groups or individuals in the “Beekeeper Experience”. In this program we put visitors in a beekeeper suit and take them to the hive and let them experience the bees close up. We also have a “Bee Observation Tent” for individuals who don’t want to put on the bee suit, stay in a screened tent and observe others as they experience the bees. 

We’ve also installed a metal building which can serve as an educational facility. We also have an area where people can lounge under a sun shade canopy, use the barbecue, or sit by a fire pit.
